No. For strength and length we use CND Plexigel, a soak-off builder gel that is kinder to the natural nail than Gel-X extensions or dip. If you arrive with Gel-X, hard gel, dip or acrylic, we remove it safely ($35 for first-time guests) and rebuild with Plexigel. Hard gel is available as an add-on ($20 short or medium, $30 long) when you want it.

Gel itself does not; peeling it off does. Removal that lifts layers of the nail plate is what leaves nails thin and sore. We soak Shellac off gently and file only the product, never the nail, which is why guests who switch to us often say their nails are stronger after a few months of Shellac than they were before.
