How the polish cures. Gel polish hardens under a UV or LED lamp, where photoinitiators react to the light and set the polish into a durable, plastic-like layer. Dazzle Dry is a high-performance lacquer that hardens through a chemical reaction between its own base coat, colour and top coat — no lamp at all — and air-dries to a rock-hard finish in just five minutes. It also comes off with regular remover, where gel needs soaking.

At LNO Boutique the Dazzle Dry manicure is $75 and the Dazzle Dry pedicure $75, both about 60 minutes and bookable online. A Little Lady mani and pedi for a child aged 7 to 12 is $80.

Up to two to three weeks of chip-free wear on hands with normal use. Cuticle oil daily and gloves for dishes stretch it further, and because it removes with ordinary remover you can change colour whenever you like without damaging the nail.

Toes are protected in shoes, so they see far less wear than fingernails; toenails grow more slowly, so the gap at the cuticle appears later; and the four-step system sets a durable, non-porous shell over the nail.
